Terry Elkins Biography


Terry Elkins received his MFA in Painting from the University of Houston in 1978 and has lived in Bridgehampton, NY since 1987. His work has been exhibited throughout the United States and abroad, is in numerous public and private collections. Mr. Elkins has been the recipient of two Pollock-Krasner Foundation Awards. He teaches for The Parish Art Museum of Southampton, NY and is Adjunct Professor of Art and Art History for The University of Laverne, Laverne, CA. He has been a guest speaker at The Bermuda National Gallery, the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, NY and Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY.

Terry is a Board Member for The Long Island Chapter of the US lighthouse Society. He contributes a proceed from the sale of the Cedar Island Lighthouse print directly to Restoration Fund for this lighthouse. He is also active in his community as a volunteer EMT with the Bridgehampton Fire Department.

Terry’s prints and cards are carried in a variety of Museum stores, gift shops and bookstores and are available wholesale. No matter how large or small your shop, all vendor inquiries are welcome.
